| Location Koh Chang is the second largest island of Thailand, situated 315 kilometers from Bangkok. Koh Chang archipelago is located in the Gulf of Thailand where has a tropical climate. The annual average temperature is 27.3 C with an average high 31.3 C and an average low of 23.2 C. Mid-November to February is the cool, dry season when the temperature is at its lowest, especially in January when it averages at 21C.March to May in the hot and humid season. The hottest month, as the with most parts of Thailand is April when the temperature hits an average high of 32.9 C however can reach as high as 38 C. Towards the end of May till October is the wet season, when you can except more rain, although not all the times. Ramayana Koh Chang Resort is located on the central trip of Koh Chang Island on Chaiyachet-Klong Prao Beach. The Flight from Bangkok is just 45 minutes by the Bangkok Airways. The Resort is only 30 minutes from Ao Thamachart Pier. There is a wide rage facility at the Resort including a swimming pool, and shuttle bus service to tourist attraction areas. A trip up to Bang Bao fishing village shopping and wandering fresh seafood dining is easy, but the most popular excursion is marine activity at neighboring islands, Koh Rang, Koh Wai, Koh Yuak, Koh Kradad and several Islands, which are all easily accessible by speed boat. |

| The most frequenly visited places Haad Sai Khao (White Sand Beach) As the name implies, this is a long beach of powdery white sand. Haad Sai Khao is the busiest section of Koh Chang, the so-called minitown are. Along the main road are various shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, tour operators and vehicle rentals. Klong Prao Beach and Laem Chaiyachet This is another long sandy beach that begins from the rocky Laem Chaiyachet or Chaiyachet Cape, which is an ideal site to watch the magnificent sunset of the sunrise above the southern hills of Bang Bao. Laem Chaiyachet is a favorite on-shore fishing ground. A fishing pier is created near the cape that is also a great viewpoint for the whole of Klong Prao Bay. Kai Bae Beach This is a beach of scenic beauty where you can see the sunset and a few islands, some so close and tempting you feel like taking a canoe across. Bang Bao Beach The Beach at Bang Bao has clear waters with rocks and corals off its shores. A good place to fish, snorkel and swim. Getting to Bang Bao is a challenging task as the road from Kai Bae is steep and winding. Bang Bao is a fishing village of wooden house built above seawater. Here, wooden bridges link the houses. Beside its locality fresh seafood dining Klong Plu Waterfall Klong Plu Waterfall is a large fall of 3 levels. It has been an important water source to the Koh Chang dwellers for a long time. Klong Plu derived its name from the Phu Pha Mek Sawan Moutain where King Chulalongkorn The Great (Rama V) used to rest. |
