- Enryaku Temple - A cable car goes to the summit of Mount Hiei
to Enryaku-ji, a temple built to protect the former capital
of Kyoto from evil spirits from the northeast. The views from

- Ukimidou - The Japanese poet, Basho Matsuo, stopped here to
