Rate included :

The hire of car with unlimited kilometers usage, installed with air-conditioning, radio cassette player and safety belts.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which reduce renter’s financial responsibility from full replacement value to non-waivable access.
Value Added Tax, subject to prevailing government tax. (Currently 7%VAT)

Rate excluded :

Fuel (vehicles are rented with a full tank, which is refilled at the renter’s expense on return)
In case of accident, renter is committed to initial responsibility up to the maximum amount of :
a) Baht 10,000 per occurrence for vehicle in Group A,B,K
b) Baht 20,000 per occurrence for vehicle in Group C,L,N
c) Baht 30,000 per occurrence for vehicle in Group D,F,M
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is an optional insurance providing coverage on accidental death, disability and medical expenses benefit covering the rental and passengers in AVIS vehicle. PAI available at the rental counter.

Reservations :
Reservations are required Two (2) business days in advance, subject to car availability at time making reservations

Cancellation/No Show :
There is no penalty for cancellation received at least one (1) business day in advance. However, notice of cancellation is required as early as possible but in any case not later than the period mentioned. In a case of reservations being cancelled later than the notice period, no show, or the vehicle not taken up during peak season. AVIS reserve the right to levy a late Cancellation / No Show fee equivalent to the rental rate for one day.

Extension of Rental :
It is important that prior notice of extension of rental period be lodged/advised at the nearest AVIS office counter or location. Additional rental charges on account of such an extension are payable direct to AVIS at the normal daily rental rate. Failure to give prior notice of extension of rental, or failure to return the vehicle within the rental period, will result in the voiding of any an all insurance coverage, and the renter will be held responsible in full for any loss and damage that may arise and the rental may be deemed as stolen or lost.

Renter conditions and documents required :

Renter (driver) minimum age 23 years, Identification card or passport is required to be shown at time of rental
The renter and additional driver(s) must have a permanent driving license. Valid driving license from country of residence is required, and must have held driving license for at least One (1) year. International driving permit is preferable for renters with licenses in Non Roman Alphabet. A probationary license is not accepted.
A young driver fee will be applied for each young driver and additional young driver. Charged at Baht 200.00 per day (Baht 214.00 nett)
An additional driver fee at Baht 200.00 per driver per day (Baht 214.00 nett), maximum 7 days charged per additional driver. Additional driver must meet minimum age requirements.

Pick-up / Drop-off points :

The rental car may be picked up and dropped off at the AVIS Centres in various locations, including all major airport and luxury hotels in major destinations during normal hours.
For drop-off at a different location from the pick-up point, a drop-off fee may be applied at minimum of 3 consecutive days rental plus drop of charges (Please refer to One-way Rental Program). The one way rental is offered subject to a minimum at three (3) days consecutive rental or payment of the same if the rental period is less than 3 days.

Payment :

Payment for all expenses is on customer’s account. Customer’s credit card number and expiry date is required to guarantee all expenses prior to picking up the vehicle.
Full prepayment shall be paid for each rental by credit card upon pick-up date (No cash rental is permitted). The payment can be settled by credit cards i.e. American Express Card, Diners Club, Master Card, Visa Cards or JCB Card and etc.
There is a compulsory requirement to arrange pre-authorization for each car as rental guarantee, which will be done at the commencement date and location. The pre-authorization will be cancelled after the vehicle is returned. pre-authorization are as follows :
a) Baht 20,000 for Group A, B, C, L, K, N
b) Baht 40,000 for Group D, F, M
