Take time out to visit perhaps Thailand's most beautiful attraction in the Old Town - the Grand Palace, or Wat Phra Kaew - home to the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most revered Buddha image. Built in 1782, Wat Phra Kaew is a royal temple built within the grounds of the Grand Palace. Nearby is the equally famous Wat Pho, with its famous Reclining Buddha statue and home to the most famous Thai massage school, with experts on hand to add an hour of welcome respite to your sightseeing trip around the Old Town. Centrally located attractions are also conveniently placed within short distances by SkyTrain or taxi from the President Solitaire.
